My mentor for this project is Wassily Kandinsky. For this self portrait I want to focus on strong primary colors and shadows. Rather than painting a still life of an image of myself, I am thinking I will paint my shadow. Within my still life I want to play with different light sources, therefore creating shadows of different length and intensity. I created a preliminary sketch of a shadow of my arm and also posted a painting of Kandinsky’s that I like.
